Back on the wagon - Day 1
So after a while off of the diet and a few weeks of eating healthily am having a go at dieting for the 2 weeks before my camping holiday with the bf. Started off well yesterday, completely stuck to my 26 daily points. It's amazing how the first few days seem easy, I hope this will continue. I believe that having a short term goal of the two weeks should make things easier, however I would like to try and continue with the diet after this time in order to fit back into some old clothes.
Lunch: Stir fried veg + sweet & sour sauce
Dinner - Spinach & ricotta tortelloni and cheese sauce
Snack: To be decided

More d'oh than whoop!
Oh dear, was really hoping to go back to work today as am bored of being ill, but it would seem that the illness sadly isn't bored of me.. The longer I sit and stress about being ill, the longer it seems to be lasting...
Not good on the diet front, in a feeling sorry for myself kind of mood yesterday I spectacularly managed to use all but 5 of my weeklies! Will be being sensible for the rest of the week, do not want to have two bad weeks!
Just reading this back to myself makes me realise I really need to lighten up, its just a cold ffs, some people are sick with real illnesses... I will try and be more upbeat for the rest of the day!

A combination of d'oh and whoop!
Whoop because I have lost around 2 pounds this week which is awesome. D'oh because I'm broken again, cold seemed to get worse since Friday and then having decided last night that if I got a good night's sleep I would be ok to go to work this seemed to tip my psyche into worrying so much about doing that that I couldn't sleep from 12-2.30 and was having weird dreams about characters in Dexter! It's horrible being off work and worrying about it prob doesn't help you get better... Good news on the diet front though, so will try to keep it up this week before we escape for a holiday next week! (Can't wait!)
Death warmed up
Unfortunately all of my hard work this term seems to have concluded in me getting the mother of all colds after I was already off sick last week., not cool :( Still had a lovely day yesterday, delicious hot Thai duck stir fry at Giraffe on the South bank which was only 18 points followed by a latte with a shot of rum (in the hope of killing the germs!) Hoping the Lemsip (Sainsbury's version of) will help too as am feeling rubbish atm! Excited about the weigh in tomorrow as I do feel a bit 'thinner' and am really hoping to get down to 11 stone!

Steaktastic!
Lovely evening last night, made the steak in peppercorn sauce and straw fries from the Weight Watchers Magazine which was delicious and only 9 points. Still have about 20 of my weeklies left. However, the beer I drank (barely 2 pints) was delicious but 8 points! I will stick to gin from now on, I like gin.... Finished it all off with another Cadbury's cinder toffee bar, glad I wasn't on my own otherwise I'd have eaten more than one!

Living for the weekend!
Can't wait til this evening! We were thinking of going to a cool Belgian bistro in town with an awesome selection of beers, but since I am thinking of the points and am quite frankly knackered, have decided to re-create a little Belgian magic chez moi. So, we are having the steak in peppercorn sauce with shoe string fries from the ww magazine, and have set bf the challenge of buying me two beers I've never tried and I'm doing the same for him, can't wait!

Can't get no sleep....
Ate the delicious Pollo ad astra pizza last night + dough balls + a cadbury's cinder toffee cake bar (yum!). Used a lot of my extra weekly points, but hopefully if I'm good at the weekend I'll still be able to stick to my week's allowance.
Feeling very tired and aiming for an earlier night tonight, we'll see though...

Back to school....
Going back to work today, and am hoping that the distractions of a busy day will make it easier for me to stick to my diet. Aiming to have a nice Pizza Express pizza for tea to celebrate 7 months with the bf :) Just realised I'm away the Monday after next when my weigh in is supposed to be and am wondering how to work around it, do I just not weigh myself at all that week and hope for the best?
When people are douches, don't let it bother you
My housemate made some stupid comment about me 'Always being ill' and it really pissed me off, then I read this article and realised life is too short!

First Exercise
Well I've been off sick from work for two days, but in a moment of self pity today decided that enough was enough and that I need to start doing some exercise. Looked at the NHS website and saw depressingly that in order to be healthy I should be doing 30mins x5 a week plus 2 muscle training, hmmm not too much to fit in then!
Have found a Zumba class and went walking and didn't allow myself to come home until I had walked for 30 mins straight, so felt pretty good and had even worked up a sweat! Just mapped my route and apparently its 1.93 miles, not bad for a first walk, let's see if I can beat it on Thursday!
